Log Cabin Quilt by Ann Farmer

Statement: I decided to make this quilt after looking at quilts in a department store. They were poorly made and over-priced. I knew I could make one that was much prettier and better quality. I knew exactly which collection of fabric I wanted to use – Coriander Seeds. I love the clean, white prints with tiny details. I had just read the book The Gown which is about the seamstresses making Queen Elizabeth’s wedding dress. They put in little tiny details that you wouldn’t be able to see unless you were right up close to it. Just little details that made it lovely and special. The pattern I used was the Quilt in a Day Log Cabin with the King Layout placement of blocks. I’m just so happy with the results! Now, if I can only keep it clean.
